4. Open the instrument’s front access door.
5. If an ESI probe is fitted, remove the probe.

6. Unfasten the source enclosure door’s securing clips, and open the door.
7. If a corona pin is fitted, use the needle-nose pliers to remove the pin.
8. Fit the blanking plug to the pin’s mounting contact.
9. Unscrew the three thumbscrews that secure the right side panel to the
source enclosure.
10. Remove the side panel from the source enclosure.
11. Ensure that the source enclosure side flange O-ring is in place on the
right side of the source enclosure.
Warning:
To avoid self -contamination with toxic and
biohazardous materials, always wear chemical-resistant,
powder-free gloves at all times while handling the
components.

To avoid electric shock, ensure that the instrument is
in standby while working with the instrument’s front access door
open.
Warning:
To avoid burn injuries, take care while working with
the instrument’s front access door open.The probe and source
may be hot.
Warning:
To avoid puncture wounds, take care if removing an
ESI probe; the probe tip is sharp.
Caution:
To avoid damage, do not apply any downward force to
the source enclosure door while the door is open.

a corona pin; the pin tip is sharp.
