Response Time of Digital Power Outputs
Only use response time for the safety response time in the event of a failure!
To prevent personal and property damage, only use the values of the safe response
time for designing the safety response time.
For the safety response time, take into account the execution times of the
internal bus, fieldbus and cycle time of the safe PLC!
To prevent personal and property damage, take into account the execution times
of the internal bus, fieldbus and cycle time of the safe PLC in calculating the
safety response time.
The response time of the digital power outputs indicates the time from an
incoming PROFIsafe telegram to the internal bus to the signal change on the
digital power output. It is part of the overall response time of a safety application.
The safe response time of the digital power output includes the maximum
response time in the event of a failure.
The following table lists the safety response times for the digital power outputs in
the possible output configurations in the event of a failure and the typical response
times if there is no failure.
The description of the output configuration is available in section "Connection
Examples for Digital Power Outputs".
