System Monitor
System Monitor is a stand-alone program that is installed with the V
TOUCH
software. It is used as a diagnostics
tool to allow System Administrators to have a clear picture of exactly what is occurring within the software.
To access the System Monitor screen (Figure 9-2), click Start > Programs > VTEL > GraphicsSysMon . If there are
no active errors, the Main page will appear. If errors are active, the Errors page will display.

The following sections are part of System Monitor:
Errors Displays active errors.
Main Displays high-level system operating parameters.
Comm Shows details of the logical and physical communications ports.
Video Monitors video settings and transmits/receives video data flow.
Audio Monitors audio levels and settings and transmits/receives audio data flow.
Protocol H.320 Monitors data flow and control in H.320 mode.
IP Addresses Displays data rates, IP addresses and diagnostics.
Call Trace Monitors activity in the communications layers.
System Repor t Shows a complete summary of the current state.
Print Status Produces a complete printout of the status.
PC/User Data Monitors PC data channels and RS-232 data flow.
State Histories Displays the H.323 and H.320 low-level state transition histories.
Exit Closes the system monitor screen.
