Attaching Shadow Skirts
1. Remove the foam shadow skirt pieces from their kit bag and select the rear skirt package appropriate to
the monitor purchased (e.g., 005-1933-02 (KV-32540) for the 32” monitor and 005-1933-01 (KV-
27845) for the 27” monitor. Install as shown in (Figure 4-3).
2. Find a suitable location to lay the SmartTrak base assembly upside down.
3. Support the cameras while installing the foam.
Do not rest the SmartTrak assembly on the cameras.

Installing the Microphone Assembly
1. Locate the cable that extends from the bottom of the arm and thread the cable through the round hole in
the rear of the SmartTrak base (Figure 4-4). Make sure the cable extends through the bottom of the base.
2. Lower the arm into the hole in the base, aligning the two lugs with the notches in the hole. Holding the
arm at the base, rotate the arm counter-clockwise 90 degrees until it snaps into place. Then rotate the
arm 90 degrees clockwise so that the arm is aiming toward the front of the assembly.

3. Connect the microphone arm cable to the appropriate port on the back of the SmartTrak. See Figure 4-5
on page 4.7 for more details.
Mounting on the Monitor
1. Prepare to mount the SmartTrak by placing it on top of the monitor and finding the correct location
(centered on the monitor and slightly back from the forward edge). Temporarily mark the location with
a pencil.
