Fan Temperature Switch
The G300004’s cooling fan temperature switch is normally open and closes at 80
°C (176 °F) turning on the fan. The temperature switch is located in the top of the
WHASP Tank cooler (Figure 58).
Testing

Connect a multimeter to the harness and direct a heat gun onto the
temperature switch for a few minutes. Once the switch reaches 80 °C (176 °F),
resistance on the switch should drop to 0 Ω.
Compressor Temperature Switch
If the compressor’s oil temperature exceeds 140 °C (284 °F), the thermostatic
switch located in the compressor discharge cap will disable the engine ignition
system. The cooling fan will continue to run until the temperature at the switch
drops below 139 °C (282 °F ) (Figure 59).
The engine will not run until the compressor system has cooled
enough that the temperature switch closes.
Testing

Use a multimeter to measure the resistance through the switch. The resistance
should be 0 Ω when the system is cold.
