DEVICE OPERATION
I. FIRST USE
• Unpack the device and ecologically dispose of all packaging materials. Immediately after unpacking
check the device and accessories for signs of damage.
• Wash the trays before first use thoroughly in lukewarm water with a dishwashing detergent and then dry them.
• Turn the empty dehydrator on and leave it for about 30 minutes without adding any food to it.
Smoke and smell may appear during this first use. This is caused by the burning of the thermal winding.
This is a common phenomenon that will disappear after a while.
• After first use, wash the plates and the lid again. Dry them and the dehydrator is now ready for first
use with food.
• Place the prepared food on the trays. The trays are then placed into the device and covered with the
lid. Drying plates can be placed in two height variants depending on the thickness of the dried food.
• Plug the power cord into the electrical socket. When the power is connected, you can press the
power switch. Then turn the temperature controller to the desired temperature level.
• Dry foods by type, as recommended in the enclosed tables and tips for setting seen above.
• As soon as drying is complete, turn the right controller to the lowest temperature setting, turn off
the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply.
• After drying and cooling, perform maintenance according to the section Cleaning and maintenance,
seen below.
II. WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Do not exceed the uninterrupted operating time of more than 72 hours, the functionality and life of
the device may be affected.
2. Each time you finish drying, first reduce the temperature to the minimum, then turn the machine off
and disconnect it from the mains.
3. When the device is powered and on, the indicator light turns red and the fan operates.
4. Do not spill water or other liquids into the product. Water may easily condense inside during use.
5. Food should be properly prepared before drying, eg cleaned, sliced, peeled, soaked etc.
The preparation described in the manual helps to preserve the color and taste of the food.
6. Free flow of air must be ensured during the drying process. Do not put too heavy food on plates or
place the food so that it overlaps. Different foods are dried for a different period of time (note: when
the appliance starts to dry, make sure the lid is properly positioned.) If you do not finish drying within
one day, you can put it down for the next day, in which case the semi-dry food is tightly closed in
a container or plastic bag.)
