IMPORTANT: Note the correct orientation of the blue tab on the ends of the
SAS-3 cables. The blue tab must face down in the ports on all shelves.

Connect the cables as follows:

On the second existing Expansion Shelf unplug the SAS-3 connector in
port A of the right I/O module.
■
Connect the end of the cable to port A in the right I/O module of the third
Expansion Shelf.
■
Connect one end of a new cable to port C in the left I/O module of the
second shelf.
■
Connect the other end of the cable to port A in the left I/O module of the
third shelf.
■
Connect one end of a new cable to port A on the right I/O module of the
second shelf.
■
Connect the other end of the cable to port C on the right I/O module of the
third shelf.
