Installation
Wiring the equipment
Remove and Replace Red Threaded Plug
The instrument is shipped with red plastic plugs installed in both threaded
cable entries. These plugs must be removed during installation and the
openings closed by a method approved for flame path protection. Approved
and suitable cable glands or blind plugs must be installed.

Modified NPT (National Standard Pipe Taper) openings suitable for A, B, C,
and D locations shall be provided. The acceptable conduit opening must
provide for a 4 ½ full threads of engagement with a minimum thread conduit
or fitting. Torque valves as a function of conduit trade size shall be in
accordance with the torques listed in Table 2.2.
Note:
During installation check that all openings are closed in a way
approved for flame path protection. Approved plug and thread
treatment is supplied with the instrument. Torque and thread
engagement information is listed in Table 2.1.
