Understanding the basics
CG Infinity is a vector-based drawing program dedicated to creating
impressive titles and motion graphics. Once you have created a title or
graphic, it becomes an object which can be resized, reshaped and rede-
signed without any loss in quality. A comprehensive range of drawing tools
also gives you complete flexibility over your work and makes editing
objects as easy as moving your mouse.
To get started in CG Infinity, you first need to create a new edit window.
At the center of the edit window is a frame indicating the size of the video
frames for your CG project. Everything outside the frame is part of the
pasteboard area which can be used for storing objects or for placing
objects outside of the frame before moving them into view. (You control
the size of the pasteboard in the Preferences dialog box, see page 13.)
While a CG project is video-based, the edit window displays only one view
from where you perform all your work and effects. When the time to
create a final video sequence comes, CG Infinity applies your edits over the
appropriate number of frames to build the video file.
