Select the
Show only paint layer
option to have the onionskin applied
just to the paint layer. This speeds up processing time because only the
edited portions have a transparency applied. If left clear, the transpar-
ency is applied to the source video plus the paint layer. (Depending on
the type of video, this may produce no noticeable effect.)

Click
OK
. The dialog box closes and the settings take effect immedi-
ately.
Painting over frames in Onionskin mode
No Source Video mode
When working on an image, it can often get confusing trying to determine
where the image starts and the edits end. In such cases, you can remove the
image from view by selecting the
No Source Video mode
. No Source Video
mode removes the image from the edit window and replaces it with the
current background color. This allows you to easily see your edits in the
paint layer only. To view the frame’s image, change back to
Normal mode
.
