Accessing the SETUP Program

Selecting 0 from the DIAGNOSTICS MENU and pressing

Enter

displays the following:

The information you see on your screen will differ somewhat from this example, depending on the
computer model, display and options selected (this is an example of the T4500/C setup screen).

The menus above show examples of setup options as they may be currently stored in memory. The
options, “LCD Display Mode,” and “LCD Gray Scale Level” for the T4500/T4600 or “Display
Device,” “LCD Display Mode” and “LCD Display Colors” for the T4500C/T4600C differ depend-
ing on the option selected for “Display Adaptor.”

Note that selecting the type of hard disk drive is not an option. The T4500/T4600 Family computer
automatically determines what type of internal hard disk drive is installed.

If you would like to use an external 5.25-inch floppy disk drive attached to the parallel port (T4500
or T4500C only), the “External FDD/PRT” option must be configured as either “FDD A” or “FDD
B.” If FDD A is selected, the computer automatically configures the external FDD as drive A and
the internal 3.5-inch FDD as drive B.
