T4500C Fluorescent Lamp Unit

CAUTION:  When you remove the FL unit, be careful not to let any dust or other foreign
matter enter it.

Removing the T4500C FL Unit

To remove the T4500C’s FL unit, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-34 through 4-37.

1. Turn off the power to the computer; disconnect the AC adapter, power cord and all external

cables connected to it.

2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, optional PCMCIA card, top cover, display

assembly, display mask, FL inverter board, and TFT color LCD module as described in
Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.9, 4.13, 4.14, and 4.15.

3. Lay the TFT color LCD module face down and use needle-nose pliers to unbend the five

latches holding the front and back frames together and lift the unit out of the front frame
(Figure 4-34).
