T4600C Fluorescent Lamp Unit

Removing the T4600C’s FL Unit

CAUTION:  When you remove the FL unit, be careful not to let any dust or other foreign
matter contaminate the LCD panel.  Any contamination can adversely affect the perfor-
mance of the unit.

To remove the T4600C’s FL unit, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-41.

1. Turn off the power to the computer; disconnect the AC adapter, power cord and all external

cables connected to it.

2. Remove the battery pack, top cover, display mask, and TFT color LCD as described in

Sections 4.2, 4.5, 4.13, and 4.18.

3. Place the FL unit face down and remove the four M2.5x6 silver screws.

4. Lift the FL unit out of the frame.

lnstalling the T4600C’s FL Unit

To install the T4600C’s FL unit, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-41.

1. Replace the FL unit in the frame and secure it with the four M2.5x6 silver screws.

2. Replace the TFT color LCD, display mask, top cover and battery pack as described in

Sections 4.18, 4.13, 4.5, and 4.2.
