Procedure 3

Diagnostic Test Program Execution Check

Execute the following tests from the Diagnostic Test Menu. Refer to Chapter 3, Tests and Diagnos-
tics, for more information on how to perform these tests.

1. System test

2. Memory test

3. Printer test

4. ASYNC test

If an error is detected during these tests, replace the System PCB with a new one.

Procedure 4

System PCB Replacement Check

The System PCB may be damaged.  Disassemble the T4500/T4600 Family computer following the
steps described in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures, and perform the following checks:

Check 1:

Replace the System PCB.  Refer to Chapter 4 for instructions on how to remove
and replace the unit.

Check 2:

If normal operation is restored after replacing the System PCB, the original unit is
probably defective.

Check 3:

If normal operation is not restored, another FRU is probably defective.  The

de-

fective unit must be isolated by performing the T4500 series (T4500/C) Diagnostics
Program or the T4600 series (T4600/C) Diagnostics Program on the ASP Diagnostics
Diskette.
