Each flow meter can be added or subtracted from the aggregated flow. The aggregated flow cannot
be negative. Each aggregate flow meter can be named and can be enabled or disabled without
modifying the inputs.
Aggregate Flow Meter Operation
When a flow meter is enabled, it is always monitoring the allocated input to calculate the current flow
rate. If the flow meter detects flow, the flow meter is active. If the detected flow exceeds the
adjustable trigger value, the flow meter is triggered. When the current flow rate falls below the trigger
value, the flow meter becomes active, or untriggered. When the current flow rate becomes zero, the
flow meter is idle.
The aggregate flow meter operation is shown in Figure 67.

Aggregate Flow Meter Parameters
Flow Meter 1 - 4
This setting shows the four flow meters used in an aggregate flow meter. If no flow meter is required,
the setting is 'None'. If a flow meter is set, but has not been named, 'FLOWMETER X' is shown,
where X is the number of the flow meter.
Add / Subtract 1 - 4
This setting determines whether the flow is added or subtracted from the current flow rate.
Trigger Value
This setting adjusts the level at which the aggregate flow meter becomes triggered.
Total Flow and Current Flow Rate
The total and current items show the real time total flow and current flow rate for the aggregate flow
meter. They are updated every second for any change in the input flow meters. These values are
shown on the edit screen for quick reference and ease of operation.
Note that the total flow and current flow rate use the current saved values for the aggregate flow
meter. For example, if input flow meter 2 is changed from an addition to subtraction, the change will
not be reflected in the total flow or current flow rate until the accept button is pressed.
