B. Disconnect the seat switch harness from the seat switch. Check the
switch and the harness connectors for damage or corrosion and clean or
repair if necessary.
C. Use a multimeter (ohms setting) and check the continuity of the switch
harness.
D. Use a multimeter (ohms setting) and check the continuity of the switch;
refer to step
of this procedure.
5. Replace the switch or switch harness if necessary. To replace the seat switch:
A. Detach the rear of the seat base fabric cover (seat with suspension
system).
B. Access the top of the switch by slipping between the seat frame and
the seat base foam.
C. Release the switch from underneath and remove the switch.
D. Install the seat switch in the reverse order.
6. If the seat switch testing is correct and the circuit problem still exists, check
the machine wire harness; refer to
Appendix A (page A–1)
.
7. Connect the wire harnesses to the switch and test the seat switch operation
before returning the machine to service.
