BRAKE PEDAL
The brake pedal is the smaller foot pedal located to the left of
the larger accelerator pedal. The brake pedal engages all four
brakes of the VANISH wheels for shorter stopping distances. To
slow the vehicle down, the operator should depress the brake
pedal.
Depress the brake pedal to slow or stop the vehicle.
Apply the brakes while turning key switch to on.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL
The accelerator pedal is the larger right pedal on the floorboard.
Push the pedal down to increase motor speed and to increase
vehicle speed. Spring pressure returns the pedal to the rest
position when released. Always check that the accelerator
pedal returns normally before starting the motor. When
depressed, the accelerator pedal will engage the drive motor in
the direction the FNR switch is set. If the FNR switch is set to
the middle neutral (N) setting the vehicle will not move and the
motor will not turn.
The vehicle will accelerate up to its top speed of 25 mph
•
at which time power will be reduced to the motor.
If the vehicle speed begins to exceed 25 mph, automatic
•
motor braking will occur.
