CAUTION
To make centering of lower unit ass'y to
drive shaft housing, attach bolts to two
locations
marked on the lower unit ass'y
first. After all bolts are attached, tighten
the two bolts first.

· Apply thin coat of OBM grease to spline of
drive shaft before assembling.
· Apply thin coat of OBM grease to water pipe
seal rubber.
· Lower unit installation can be made easier with
the outboard motor tilted up.
· When installing the lower unit, insert water
pipe into seal rubber properly.
3.
Tighten lower unit ass'y installation bolts and nut to
specified torque.

Attach gear case plate plug

Put lower unit ass'y into drive shaft housing.
Connect speedometer pick up tube

, and align positions
of water pipe and water pipe seal
