2.4 Safety features
The MIRUS Controller is equipped with monitor functions for monitoring the device status and
thus detecting changes in parameters. Changes in parameters may be caused by:

Changes in patient status
•
Changes in the settings
•
Adjustment and/or operating errors
•
Device malfunctions
•
Changes in the electrical supply
•
Changes in the anaesthetic gas supply
The following safety functions are integrated in the MIRUS Controller to warn the operator if
the patient is at risk.

Comment:
The MIRUS Reflector control is only active when there is a continuous connection between the
interface connector and the MIRUS Controller (mains power supply is connected). If the
interface connector is disconnected or the MIRUS Controller is switched off (mains power
supply not connected), the timer of the MIRUS Reflector control is reset.
