MIRUS Controller, SW 2.03.02, Additional Information Master (en-GB)
The MIRUS Controller is equipped with a gas monitor in accordance with EN ISO 80601-2-55.
This gas monitor is designed for the device-specific volatile anaesthetic. If an additional volatile
anaesthetic is utilised during use of the MIRUS Controller, this can lead to falsified
measurements of the etVA concentration. These may pose a risk to the patient.
Do not feed any additional volatile anaesthetic through the ventilation system
connected to the MIRUS Controller.
While using the MIRUS Controller, do not change the type of volatile anaesthetic.
Allowing volatile anaesthetics to accumulate in the environment around the patient can put
persons at risk.
If the patient’s ventilation tube system needs to be removed, halt the delivery of volatile
anaesthetic.
Fill the reservoir as described in Chapter 4.5 or 5.1.5.
Drain the reservoir as described in Chapter 6.3.
2.1.7 Devices required for use of the MIRUS System
If the Instructions for use of the connected devices or device combinations are not followed
before they are operated, this may endanger the patient and other persons or cause equipment
damage.
Always follow the I
nstructions for use of all connected devices or device combinations
exactly before operating them.
Approved ventilators and anaesthesia devices
The MIRUS System may be used together with ventilators as per EN ISO 80601-2-12 or with
anaesthesia devices as per EN ISO 80601-2-13. The use of devices that do not comply with
these standards could endanger the patient.
The devices listed by the manufacturer as compatible comply with these standards and have
been tested by the manufacturer of the MIRUS System for use together with the MIRUS
System.
Only use with devices specified by the manufacturer
.
