Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
• 1.5-kVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS)
• Use in areas prone to power failure.
• Power failures and other events that abruptly terminate the function of the instrument and computer can
corrupt data and possibly damage the system.
CAUTION!
PHYSICAL INJURY HAZARD.
Do not attempt to lift or move the UPS unit without the
assistance of at least two people. Improper lifting can cause painful and permanent back injury. See the
UPS manufacturer user guide for more information.
IMPORTANT!
A UPS provides power for a limited time. It is meant to delay the effects of a power outage, not to
serve as a replacement power source. In the event of a power loss, power off the instrument and computer unless
you expect to regain power within the battery life of the UPS.
Before installation, obtain a UPS to protect the instrument, computer, and monitor in the event of a power failure.
Network requirements
For OpenArray
™
AccuFill
™
Software v2.0, an internet connection is recommended. An internet
connection allows TPF and SPF files to be downloaded from
thermofisher.com/OA-platefiles
. All of
the other features of the software are available without an internet connection.
For OpenArray
™
AccuFill
™
Software v1.2, an internet connection is not required.
The computer can be connected to a network in order to transfer files.
Use the following guidelines:
• If the computer is connected to a local area network (LAN), an active and tested LAN connection
must be in place before the scheduled installation date.
• The computer is equipped with a generic RJ45 connector.
• Due to differences in the network connection options, the service representative cannot configure
the computer to access a specific network.
• The assigned IT or network specialist from your organization must be available during the
installation to help connect the computer to your network.
Printer requirements
The system can use a network printer or a dedicated printer.
The printer and any necessary print drivers must be available before the scheduled installation.
