Checking the Disk Space
Periodically you should verify that your hard disk drive has enough free space
for data acquisition. The amount of available disk space is shown in the Disk
Space dialog box. To determine the amount of available disk space, proceed
as follows:
1. From the Home Page window (which is available by choosing
Start > Programs > Xcalibur > Xcalibur
), choose
Actions >
Check Disk Space
to open the Disk Space dialog box. The Disk Space
dialog box lists the following:
•
Current drive and directory (for example,
C:\Xcalibur\system\programs)
•
Number of Mbytes that are available (free) on the current drive
•
Percentage of the current drive that is available
•
Total capacity of the current drive
2. To select another disk drive so that you can determine its disk space, click
on the Directory button.
3. When you have completed this procedure, click on
OK
to close the dialog
box.
If necessary, you can free space on the hard disk by deleting obsolete files and
by moving files from the hard disk drive to a backup medium. First, copy files
to the backup medium. After you have copied the files, you can delete them
from the hard disk.
