Use the following procedure to replace the flow transducer (
Figure 7–14
).
Equipment Required:
Flow transducer
Philips screwdriver
Equipment Damage
Some internal components can be damaged by small
amounts of static electricity. A properly ground antistatic wrist strap must
be worn while handling any internal component.

1.
Turn instrument OFF, unplug the power cord, and remove the cover.
2.
Disconnect the plumbing connections from the flow transducer. Note
the plumbing connections to facilitate reconnection.
3.
Disconnect the flow transducer cable from the FLOW connector on
the measurement interface board.
4.
Remove the two screws securing the flow transducer to the kicker
bracket and remove the flow transducer.
5.
Install the new flow transducer following the previous steps in reverse.
6.
Calibrate the flow transducer. Refer to the “Flow Transducer
Calibration” procedure that follows.
