Rack Mounts

2.2.1

Mounting Brackets

A pair of rack-mount brackets (flanges) with handles is shipped with the RES-
12DCX to secure the chassis to a 19” rack (see

Figure 2-13

). The chassis contains

three threaded screw holes on each side to accommodate #10-32 size screws
(included with the bracket package).

Brackets with handles are used to pull the RES-12DCX from the rack when rack-
mount slides have been installed on the sides of the chassis (see following section).

2.2.2

Rack-Mount Slides (Optional)

Rack-Mount Slides can be mounted on each side of the RES-12DCX for the purpose
of sliding the unit in and out of a rack. Mounting slides are optional and should be
ordered at the time your system is purchased.

To learn how to install rack-mount slides, refer to Appendix B, “Rack-Mount Slide
Installation”.
