How to Remove the
Hydraulic Pump
Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,
the O-ring on the fitting and/or hose end must be
replaced and then torqued to specification during
installation. Refer to Section Two,
Hydraulic Hose
and Fitting Torque Specifications.
1 Disconnect the battery pack from the machine.
Electrocution/burn hazard. Contact
with electrically charged circuits
could result in death or serious
injury. Remove all rings, watches
and other jewelry.
2 Tag and disconnect the hydraulic power unit
cables at the motor controller.
3 Disconnect the filter head from the filter head
mounting bracket. Rotate the filter out and away
from the hydraulic power unit.
4 Remove the hydraulic power unit retaining
fasteners.
5 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hard line
from the pump. Cap the fitting on the pump.
HYDRAULIC PUMP
6 Tag, disconnect and plug the high pressure
hose at the pump. Cap the fitting on the pump.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to squirt
or spray.
7 Remove the hydraulic power unit from the
machine.
8 Remove the pump mounting bolts. Carefully
remove the pump.
Tip-over hazard. After replacing
the hydraulic pump, it is critical to
return the function speed settings
to original factory specifications.
Failure to restore the machine to
original factory specifications
could cause the machine to tip
over resulting in death or serious
injury.
