Use this troubleshooting tree as the starting point when the front panel LEDs
indicate an error.
Power on the
instrument.
Do the
ON/STBY and FAULT LEDs
indicate a status other than
normal operation (refer to
LED Fault Codes)?
Do LEDs
indicate EC Self Test Failed
or Cold or Overtemp
immediately
at start up?
Do LEDs
indicate Overtemp after
operating for several
minutes within specified
operating environment?

Replace Main
Interface board.

Go to LED Fault Troubleshooting
Tree 2 on page 4--36.
Check that both fans are unobstructed
and start to spin at power up.
Do the fans
spin?
No
Yes
Check voltage on pin 1
of fan connectors J590
and J591 for +12 V DC.
Is the
voltage
correct?
Replace Main
Interface board.
Replace faulty fan.
