7. Set the RF generator as follows:
FREQUENCY 20 MHz
PHASE MODULATION OFF
FREQUENCY MODULATION OFF
OUTPUT LEVEL 6 dBm
RF OUTPUT ON

9. Using the SELECT button and the General Purpose Knob, set cursor 1 to
--400 mV and cursor 2 to +400 mV.
10. Set the RF generator output level so that the displayed signal amplitude
matches the cursors. It may be necessary to adjust the vertical position. The
display is an unsynchronized waveform. See Figure 2--16.
NOTE
. When setting and measuring unsynchronized signal amplitude, position
the cursors halfway from the dark background to the bright central area of the
waveform. It is important to position the cursor in the waveform noise consis-
tently. Do not change display brightness or ambient lighting between measure-
ments.
11. Set the RF generator frequency to 2.5 GHz.
12. Measure the waveform amplitude using the cursors and note the delta
measurement.
