Set Kurf
Pick a board length as long as you are going to cut in the Websaw. For our example we will say 20
feet. Set the stretch/shrink factor on 0.
Cut one board 90 on the front end and 90 on the backend at say 19-10-0. Then cut a board with
15,165 degree angles on both ends of the board with the same length 19-10-0. Compare the two
boards. They should be the same length. At this stage don't worry about the boards being exactly 19-
10-0 but they should both be the same length.
If 15/165 and 90 boards are not the same length adjust the “Kurf” from the main Websaw screen. If
the 15/165 angle cut is short then increase the kurf amount. Likewise if the 15/165 board is longer
then the 90 degree board reduce the kurf. Repeat this process until the boards are the same length.
Note anytime you change blades you may need to adjust your kurf number. If in doubt run the above
step to check that your kurf is correctly set.
Adjust Angles over 90 degrees and under 90 degrees
Cut a board with a 26.6 degree angle and check using a carpenters' square that the angle is 6/12.
Under the “Cycle Status” screen adjust the “Angle Adjust -90” setting until the angle is a true 6/12.
Note after each test home the blade before testing with a second cut.
Repeat the process for a 153.4 degree angle and adjust the +90 setting until the angle is correct.
