Horn Switch (1)
The horn switch is located on the left side of the
floorboard. Depress the switch with your left foot to sound
the horn, release it to turn it off.
Interlocks
Seat:
A switch located under the driver's seat disables
the power to the vehicle when the driver leaves the seat.
The driver must be seated for the vehicle to operate.
Whenever the driver leaves the vehicle, the driver should
turn the key-switch “OFF”, place the forward-off-reverse
switch in the center “OFF” position.
Built in Charger (optional):
If equipped with a built in
charger, the charger interlock is designed to disable the
vehicle from being driven while the AC charger cord is
plugged into a functioning power source. This interlock
is located inside of the charger cabinet.
Battery Door:
Two switches located on the inner left
and right side panels disables power to the vehicle
whenever the battery doors are removed or not properly
installed.
Foot Brake Pedal (2)
The foot brake pedal, is located to the left of the
accelerator pedal, it is for operation with the right foot
only. It works similar to the brake in an automobile.
Applying pressure to the brake pedal slows the vehicle
according to the amount of pressure applied. Relieving
pressure from the pedal releases the braking action.
Accelerator Pedal (3)
The accelerator pedal is located on the right side of the
floorboard. It controls the speed of the vehicle and
operates similar to the accelerator pedal in an
automobile. Depress the pedal to increase speed and
release the pedal to decrease speed.
Park Brake
The park brake is automatically applied when the
accelerator pedal is released and the vehicle slows to a
stop. The brake is released when the accelerator pedal
is depressed.
Refer to
Towing This Vehicle
for information on
temporarily disabling the automatic park brake using the
Park Brake Bypass Switch.
The park brake should be disabled for
servicing or towing procedures only. Do not
operate the vehicle while the automatic
park brake is disabled. Operating the
vehicle with the automatic park brake
disabled could lead to severe bodily injury
and/or property damage.
Do not get off of the seat while the vehicle
is in motion. Getting off of the seat will
activate the seat interlock, rapidly slowing
the vehicle and applying the park brake.
The abrupt slowing of the vehicle may
result in severe bodily injury.
