Cleaning the interior
Use a soft brush to remove dust, ribbon pieces, paper bits, etc.
Check that any paper has been removed from the tractors.
Ribbon
Check whether the ribbon is worn or damaged. The ribbon must be
replaced if it is frayed, see Part I,
Replacing the ribbon cassette.
The service life of the black (monochrome) ribbon is 4 million characters.
