SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS ON MAINTENANCE
Cautions when refueling
• Do not smoke or permit open flames while
fueling or near fueling operations.
• Never remove the fuel cap or add fuel
when the engine is running or still hot. Do
not spill fuel on the hot surface of the
machine.
• Fill the fuel tank in a well ventilated place.
• Do not fill the fuel tank to capacity. Allow
room for oil expansion.
• Clean up spilled fuel immediately.
• Securely tighten the fuel filler cap. If the fuel
cap is lost, replace it only with the genuine
cap. Use of a non-approved cap without
proper venting may result in pressurization
of the tank.
• Never use fuel for cleaning.
• Use the correct grade of fuel for the
operating season.
Handling of hoses
Oil leak or fuel leak can cause a fire.
• Do not twist, bend or hit the hoses.
• Never use twisted, bent or cracked pipes,
tubes or hoses; otherwise, they may burst.
• Retighten loose connection.
