CHAIN ADJUSTMENT (FIG. B)
Quick adjustment (Fig. B)
In the point shown in the figure, fit a bush (a) with
diameter of 35 mm (1.37 in.) (or alternatively a shim
with the same size) and make sure the lower branch
(c) of the chain is slightly taut.
If this is not the case, proceed as follows:
-
on the right side, loosen the nut (1) securing the
wheel pin;
-
loosen the lock nuts (2) on both the chain tensioners
and operate on the screws (3) to obtain the correct
tension value;
-
adjust the lock nuts (2) to a tightening torque of 22
Nm (2.2 kgm - 16.22 ft/lb) and the wheel pin nut (1), to
a tightening torque of 120 Nm (12.0 kgm - 88.50 ft/lb).
After adjustment, always check wheel alignment and
that the arrow is 35 mm (1.37 in.).
