• Loosen the lock-nut

• Remove the master cylinder mounting bolts

• Place a rag underneath the union bolt on the master cylinder
to catch spilled drops of brake fluid. Remove the union bolt

and disconnect the brake hose.

• Remove the master cylinder by turning the master cylinder
rod

• Disconnect the reservoir hose

.
• Remove the connector

by removing the snap ring

.
• Remove the O-ring

.

• Pull out the dust boot

, then remove the snap ring

• Remove the push rod, piston/primary cup and spring.
Immediately and completely wipe off any brake fluid
contacting any parts of the motorcycle. The fluid
reacts chemically with paint, plastic and rubber mate-
rials, etc. and will damage them severely.
Replace the O-ring with a new one.
