Chapter 9: Message and Error Codes
Specific Messages
Table 13 contains a list of specific action-related messages that may be displayed on the front panel
display. Refer to this table for possible causes and corrective actions.
Table 13: Specific Messages
Message
Possible Causes/Corrective Action
UNABLE TO PERFORM ANALYSIS
ZERO PEAK NOT DETECTED
SEE ‘MESSAGE AND ERROR CODES’
CHAPTER IN MANUAL
During the zero cycle, the Analyzer was not able to detect
enough peaks to allow the zero level to be determined.
Possible cause/corrective action:
Very low reagent concentration; replace the reagent.
Sample pump is not operating; observe rotation.
Injection valve is malfunctioning or no flow to conductivity
detector; contact Technical Support or your local service
provider.
UNABLE TO PERFORM ANALYSIS
SAMPLE PEAK NOT DETECTED
SEE ‘MESSAGE AND ERROR CODES’
CHAPTER IN MANUAL
During the sample cycle, the Analyzer was not able to
detect a peak to allow the boron level to be determined.
REPLACE REAGENT
SEE ‘MESSAGE AND ERROR CODES’
CHAPTER IN MANUAL
Possible cause/corrective action:
Very low reagent concentration; replace the reagent. If
the message continues to be displayed, contact
Technical Support or your local service provider.
REPLACE REAG
Possible cause/corrective action:
The reagent concentration is dilute but analysis can still
continue. Replace the reagent.
Note: If reagent is not replaced soon, “UNABLE TO
PERFORM ANALYSIS, REPLACE REAGENT” message
appears and analysis is aborted.
REPLACE COLS
Possible cause/corrective action:
The zero peak is too high. Replace both the reagent and
zero columns.
REPLACE Z COL
Possible cause/corrective action:
The baseline conductivity of the zero column is above
60 nS/cm, which means the zero column is exhausted.
Replace the zero column.
