Chapter 8. Maintenance
Boron Reagent
Boron reagent is consumed during operation and must be replenished before the reservoir is empty. A
typical consumption rate is 1 liter in 3 months at the 12-minute sampling rate and 1 liter in 45 days at the
6.5-minute sampling rate. When the Analyzer detects a low reagent level in the reservoir, it will complete
the current analysis cycle, then stop and display the following warning message: "Unable to perform
analysis. Reagent level too low." Although not required, you can drain the old reagent prior to introducing
new reagent. Read the MSDS included with the reagent. The reagent is safe, similar to a concentrated
sugar solution.

A qualified technician must perform all maintenance procedures.
Warning
Do NOT reuse drained reagent!
Note:
Lifting and carrying the Analyzer should be done with two people handling the unit
by the metal enclosure only.
