Due to the different operating conditions, the exact intervals for inspection, maintenance and repair cannot be
determined in advance. Higher brake loads (e.g. due to torque, switching frequency, ambient temperature, etc.)
require shorter maintenance intervals. Therefore, the brake should initially be observed for functional safety
(e.g. loss of leaked fluid, multi-disc wear, temperature, etc.) and the maintenance intervals adapted according to
this information.
During dry operation the discs must be kept absolutely free of grease. Dry lubricants may not reach the friction
surfaces either. Light grease spots can be removed with an appropriate degreasing agent. Leak fluid losses at
the seals should generally not be prevented. If no leak line is provided, the leak fluid losses are therefore dis-
charged and collected by releasing the leak fluid screws. The time intervals for the discharge of the leak fluid
losses can only be determined based on tried and tested maintenance intervals.
The manufacturer of the complete machine is responsible for adapting the service intervals to the actual operat-
ing conditions.
