Special safety guidelines
CAUTION
Risk of accidents due to non-observance of the safety guidelines
There is a risk of accidents if the general safety guidelines are not observed.
► All safety guidelines must be observed, see section 2.

Measures for environmental protection
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD
Collect any potentially leaking auxiliary and operating materials.
RECYCLING
Dispose of components as well as auxiliary and operating materials according to the local guidelines
in a correct and environmentally-friendly way.
8.3
General points
DANGER
Risk of accidents caused by components subjected to spring pressure
Disassembly work on the brakes that is not carried out correctly may lead to the sudden release of
the pressure springs, which can lead to serious injuries.
► Any disassembly or maintenance work should be carried out by Stromag. For this purpose, re-
quest a qualified specialist approved by Stromag or remove the brake, see section 10.2, and send
it to Stromag, see section 11.2.
► The procedure described in this documentation must be followed precisely.
Components are partly under high spring pressure. In order to prevent accidents and resulting injuries, Stromag
recommends having all maintenance work carried out by Stromag. For this purpose, request a qualified special-
ist approved by Stromag or remove the brake, see section 8.4.1, and send it to Stromag, see section 11.2.
