Installing the Battery, Changing the Battery
Battery removal
– Switch off key-operated switch and remove.
– Disconnect battery plug. The parking brake
engages automatically.
– Move the pedal plate with the accelerator
and brake pedals to the upper position. For
this see “Pedal plate adjustment“.
– Remove 6 fixing screws (1) from the cover
plate.
NOTE
•
Before removing the last two screws,
secure the plate against falling out. The
plate is supported against the base plate
with contact lugs and can be lifted off with
the removal of the last two screws.
•
Remove the cover plate on the fork back.
• Undo the battery clamping screws (2).
According to the battery installed, either
the upper or the two lower screws are used.
•
Insert the fork-lift forks into the recesses (3)
and lift the battery up.
• Withdraw the battery carefully from the
battery space.
Battery installation
The battery installation is carried out in the
reverse order to the removal.
NOTE
The three screws (1a) are longer than the
three screws (1b) and must not be mixed up
during assembly.
