Maintenance as required
Checking the battery charging status
DANGER
The battery must be charged and serviced in
accordance with the instructions provided with
the battery and the battery charger (if an external
battery charger is used).
WARNING
The battery contains sulphuric acid, which is a
hazardous product. Wear gloves and goggles
when working on the battery. In case of contact with
eyes or skin, rinse immediately with clean water,
then seek medical advice if necessary. Charging
the battery releases hydrogen, which can create
an explosive mixture. Do not create sparks, do
not smoke and keep naked flames away from a
battery which is being charged or has recently
been charged. To prevent the accumulation of
hydrogen, keep the battery cover open during
charging. Charge the battery in a well-ventilated
room. Do not place metal objects on the battery:
there is a risk of creating a short-circuit.
– Before using the truck, check to ensure that
the battery is correctly charged.
– Plug in the battery connector.
– Pull the emergency off switch upwards (if
necessary).
– Depending on the model selected, turn the
switch key (1) or enter the PIN code on the
electronic key.
– Check the battery charge on the indicator
(2) (refer to chapter 3 on the multifunction
indicator).
