Mattress Base:
The mattress base is always equipped with a connection for potential
equalisation at the head end of the bed. The earth wire of the mains cable is
conductively connected to the mattress base frame through the control unit.
This qualifies the bed as a protection class I product.
Note:
If proper operation of the earth wire cannot be guaranteed, the bed may
only be operated with integrated batteries (if available), or it has to be
connected to the hospital's potential equalisation.
