4.4.1
Location Sleeves for Patient Lifting Pole / Infusion Stands
On the inside of the head section, there are two sleeves
[a]
for fixing a patient
lifting pole. A plastic reducing adapter
[b]
is inserted in one of the sleeves. This is
required if an infusion stand is used. This
reducing adapter must be removed
before the patient lifting pole can be
inserted into the sleeve.
Inserting the patient lifting pole
Insert the long, straight end of the
patient lifting pole into a sleeve
[a]
.
The metal pins must slot into the sleeve
recesses and engage.
The maximum loading capacity at the front end of the patient lifting
pole is 75 kg.
The patient lifting pole is not suitable for rehabilitation exercises.
Pay attention to door clearances when moving beds with patient
lifting poles or I.V. stands attached.
A grab handle (accessory) is normally attached to the patient lifting
pole.

Inserting the infusion stand
At both the head and foot ends of the bed, there
are two location sleeves at the outer corners for
attaching infusion stands.
At the head end, the plastic reducing adapter

supplied must be used in addition (see Chapter
4.4.1).
Insert the long, straight end of the infusion stand [

]
into the sleeves you wish to use.
Removing
Pull the patient lifting pole/infusion stand up and out of the sleeve.
