ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE OPTIONS

9.3.5 Configuring Measurement in Straightness with
Angular Detection Optics

In the main menu choose 'Straightness' in order to open
the straightness measurement menu. Select 'angular' in
the top right drop down field (see fig. 72). A warning will
pop up, asking you to select the configuration of the
optics. Here choose the configuration you have setup on
the machine. In this case, as in most cases, select the
option in which the RK1 moves away from the IK1 as high-
lighted in fig: 73. The other two options are simply for
cases where the setup does not allow any other movement.

Underneath, set the distance between the measuring points. Make sure to be as accurate
as possible as this value is important for an accurate measurement.

Click the arrow to continue. 

In 'Edit' select 'Configuration' in the top task bar and select the appropriate options. In the
section 'Measurement method' choose 

'angular'

and in 'Statistics calculation method'

select 

'End point fit method'
