8.5.3 Conducting Measurements

To engage the actual measurement, start and finish points must be entered in the software
display, as highlighted in blue in fig. 54.

Click 'Start' to commence measurement in the software (see fig. 54 in red). Please make
sure the software is ready BEFORE engaging the CNC program on the machine tool. Once
this is done the machine will start measurement as programmed in the CNC generator in
the µLine software (see above). If you did not select the cycles specifically, the program
will conduct the measurement 3 times by default before stopping.

PERFORMING MEASUREMENT

The blue highlighted box in fig. 53 shows the options for selecting the data format. The red
box highlights the axis, start and finish points, velocity and no. of measuring cycles. Once
set, press the green highlighted button to apply. Below in yellow you can preview, print
and save the settings as selected above. Press 'close' to end the generator.
