In most cases, however, you will see two laser points on the interferometer. In order 
to align the interferometer element and distinguish between the two beams, block the
 passage of light between the IL1 and RL1 as shown in fig. 27.

You can now adjust the IL1 until it reflects back
onto the target as shown in fig. 28.
