Initial Check
Are any parts dirty, broken, malformed, incorrectly installed or different
from those listed in the specifications?
• Principle Parts to be Checked:
(1) EP toner cartridge, (2) Feed roller assembly, (3) Feeder assembly
(4) ROS assembly
Step Check Remedy (if not normal)
1 (The paper setting is incorrect.)
Is the paper setting correct?
2 (The EP toner cartridge is defective.)
Does the problem recur if the EP toner cartridge is
replaced?
3 (The paper is not being fed through the printer
properly.)
Are there any irregularities, such as burrs, foreign
matter or grime, in the paper transport path?
4 (The paper roll is not being correctly fed into the
printer.)
Are there any irregularities, such as foreign matter,
grime or deformations, on the paper transport roll or is
it operating incorrectly?
Adjust the paper setting.
(Instruct the user on the correct procedure
for adjusting the paper setting.)
Replace the EP toner cartridge.
Replace the appropriate parts.
