Instructions for Use
The following section will demonstrate how to connect and regulate the Compressed
Gas Kit with the MiniCapt Mobile Microbial Air Sampler. A PDF guide is available from
Particle Measuring Systems as an additional aid in the sampling process. Visit the
Automated Hardware and Software Support page
.
Sampling with the Compressed Gas Kit
•
Switch on the MiniCapt Mobile
•
Install the dual connector plate onto the MiniCapt (this is the component part
with the BioCapt impactor slits). Ensure that the plate is fully seated
•
Install the diffusion chamber onto the dual connector plate
•
Connect the solenoid valve tubing to the tube connector
•
Connect the solenoid cable to the electrical connection
•
Connect the pressure tubing to the compressed air feed

•
Make sure the compressed gas source is connected to the compressed gas port.
•
Ensure the gas source pressure is within the allowed range:
•
Compressed Gas Kit (manufactured prior to January 2016): 2.5 - 10 Bar (36 - 145
psi)
•
Compressed Gas Kit (manufactured after January 2016):
•
25M: 0.5 - 10 Bar (7.2 - 145 psi)
•
50M: 1.0 - 10 Bar (14.5- 145 psi)
•
100M: 1.5 - 10 Bar (21.7 - 145 psi)
