After clicking "Finish", the
Found New Hardware Wizard will again appear
(See Step 4 above);
Continue by installing the COM port emulation driver. The procedure is the same as that above for
installing the Serial Converter driver above.

When both driver installations are complete, open the Device Manager (located in "Control
Panel\System" then select the "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manger") and select "View >
Devices by Type". The device appears as an additional COM port with the label "USB Serial Port".

In the example above, the USB Driver was installed on “COM5
”. You should note which COM
port is assigned to your installation, and use this same COM port number in the PC Data
Acquisition Software’s “Control->Setup” dialog
.

Also, please note: If you later plug in the instrument to a different USB port on your PC, the USB
Serial Port driver may assign a different COM number to the connection, and you will have to change
that COM number in the PC Software’s Control->Setup” menu. To avoid this,
try to plug the
instrument into the same physical USB port on the PC each time
