Section 4 – Battery Charger
1. Introduction
The battery charger charges one (1) lithium-ion battery. The charger operates from 110/240 volt AC line
voltage. The battery charger directions must be followed for safe, correct operation. Charging should only
take place indoors, in a cool place.
The normal charge time for a completely discharged battery is approximately 5 hours. Two chargers are
provided with the instrument so that both batteries can be charged overnight..
2. Charger Specifications
Input: 100 – 240VAC, 0.3A (Max), 50/60Hz
Output: 8.4 VDC, 1.3A (Max)
3. Battery Pack Information And Warnings
Cells: 2 Li-Ion cells connected in series: 9000mAh, 3.7V each.
Protection: 4A max polyswitch is installed in the battery pack for double over-discharging protection.
The battery will be automatically cut off to zero (0) volts when its voltage is too low for proper operation.
WARNING:

Avoid heavy impact to the battery pack; this may cause the battery pack to malfunction.

Do not expose the battery pack to fire or extreme heat; this may cause the battery pack to
malfunction.
•
Do not use any DC power supply or charger other than the charger supplied with the
instrument, this may cause the battery pack to malfunction.
