2.
While watching the camera image in CCD Acquire, turn the four adjustment nuts
until the image is centered. Stick a screwdriver or Allen key into the holes of the
adjustment nuts in order to turn them.
3.
Use the cursor (crosshair) in CCD Acquire to help determine the exact position:
•
For the X position, you can locate the correct position by looking at the X value in
the camera image. The left line in the image should be at 0 mm. (Select Physical
Axis on and Image Transformation off by right clicking the Y-axis in CCD Acquire,
in order to see the mm scale).
•
For the Y position, set entrance slit 6 (1 mm diameter hole) and exit slit open.
Adjust the Y-hex bolts until the stripe is at 0 mm, see Figure 54.
Figure 54. Setting the Y position.
4.
Tighten the four hex bolts.
Note
The PHOIBOS 150 has 9 exit slits. Four of them should be visible in the CCD detector image.
The line to the left in the image corresponds to the central slit. There is thus one slit outside
the detector image on the right side, which is not visible with the correct camera setting.
A.5.4 Fine angle adjustment
The angular position of the camera in the holder is set by SPECS before delivery. However,
some small adjustments may also be necessary in order to get correct vertical lines in the
image. These adjustments can be made very precisely by rotating part of the camera holder.
