A.2 Assembling the detector 

The detector is split into two parts for transportation, as shown in Figure 30.

The parts are shipped under vacuum. Both parts contain sensitive components which should 
not be exposed to air for more than a few hours. Vent the parts with dry nitrogen with the 
valve on the protective cap, as shown in Figure 31.
